Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This policy explains what MYOBLDR collects, why, where it is kept, and what you can do about it. The short version: we keep what you log so the app can show it back to you on your devices. We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app contains no advertising or analytics trackers.
Who we are
MYOBLDR is made by Andrew Walton, in Arkansas, United States. In this policy, "we" means him. MYOBLDR is offered in the United States. You can reach us at support@myobldr.com.
What the app collects
Some of what you choose to enter into MYOBLDR, such as your workouts, body weight, progress photos, training goals and the muscles you work, may relate to your health or physical condition. We treat it that way: it is used only for the purposes below, and never sold or used for advertising.
Your account. Your email address. If you sign up with a password, it is stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider; we never see it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, your name, your profile picture and a Google account identifier. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address (or a private relay address, if you choose to hide yours), an Apple account identifier, and your name if you choose to share it. These are stored with your account by our sign-in provider. The app does not currently display your name or picture.
What you log. Workouts, sets, weights, reps, exercises and their notes, the muscles you mark on them, splits, exercise groups, body weight, any custom fields you add, and your app settings.
Your profile answers. If you fill them in: your name, your training goal, your experience, and how and where you train.
Photos.
- Photos are cleaned before they are kept. Any location, camera or time details a camera wrote into a photo are removed before the app saves it, so a photo you back up or share does not carry where it was taken.
- Progress photos stay on your phone by default. They are not uploaded to our servers unless you turn on Progress Photo Backup in Settings. If you do, they are uploaded to our cloud storage and stored with your account, so you can restore them or see them on your other devices.
- Exercise photos you add to an exercise are stored with your account so they appear on all your devices.
Reminders. Reminders are off until you turn them on in Settings, and the app asks your phone for permission to send notifications only when you do. They are scheduled on your phone itself: nothing is sent from our servers, and no notification service is involved. Which reminders you chose, and at what time, are saved with your other settings. On an iPhone, the workout shown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island is drawn on your phone from the workout on your phone.
Crash reports. If a release version of the app crashes, it sends a report to Sentry so we can fix the problem. A report describes the error and your device (model, operating system and app version). The app does not attach your IP address or device name, and removes email addresses from a report before it is sent.
Subscriptions. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive your card or other payment details. To know whether your account is subscribed, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your account's identifier (a random ID, not your email address), the record of your purchases from Apple or Google (which plan, when it started and renews, trial and cancellation status, and transaction identifiers), and basic technical information such as your app version, device model, operating system, and IP address (used to work out your country).
What we do not collect. No location (and none from your photos, as above), no contacts, no advertising identifiers, and no data from other apps or from Apple Health or Health Connect.
How we use it
- To run the app for you: keeping your data in step between your phone and our servers, and across your devices.
- To sign you in, and to email you the codes that confirm your email or reset your password.
- To provide what you subscribe to.
- To answer you when you write to us.
- To find and fix crashes and technical problems.
- To keep the app and your account secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you.
Who we share it with
Only these service providers, who process it on our behalf to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: sign-in, our database, and cloud photo storage, in Ohio.
- PowerSync: keeps the copy of your data on your phone in step with our database, in Northern Virginia.
- Resend: delivers the emails with your sign-in and reset codes, so it receives your email address. In Northern Virginia.
- Sentry: crash reports, in the United States.
- RevenueCat: keeps track of your subscription, in the United States.
- Apple and Google: if you subscribe, through the App Store or Google Play, which take your payment under their own terms; and if you choose to sign in with them.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or others.
When you share. When you choose to share a workout or a record, MYOBLDR makes the image on your phone and passes it to the app or service you pick, such as Instagram. How that app handles it is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
Where it is kept
Your data is kept on your phone, so the app works offline, and with the providers above, in the United States, so it is safe if you lose your phone. Your phone's own backup, such as iCloud or Google backup, may also include the app's data on that phone, under the settings you have with Apple or Google.
How long we keep it
- Your account, everything you log and your cloud-stored photos: until you delete them or your account.
- Your subscription record at RevenueCat: until you delete your account. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases under their own policies.
- Progress photos without backup: only on your phone, until you delete them or the app.
- Database backups: kept by our database provider for up to 7 days. Photos are never part of these backups.
- Service logs: kept by our database provider for up to 7 days.
- Emails we send you: a record is kept by Resend for 30 days.
- Crash reports: kept by Sentry for up to 90 days.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Account > Delete Account. When you do:
- your account, everything you logged, and every photo stored in our cloud are deleted straight away, and so is your subscription record at RevenueCat;
- the copy on the phone you delete it from is erased;
- any other phone signed in to the account is signed out, and the copy stored in the app on that phone is erased the next time the app is opened there with an internet connection;
- copies in database backups, logs and crash reports are not deleted on the spot, but expire on the schedule above.
A deleted account cannot be restored. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; you do that in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you, and send you a copy;
- correct it (most of it you can correct yourself in the app);
- delete it (you can do this yourself, as above).
Email support@myobldr.com from your account's email address. We answer within 30 days, and we will never treat you differently for asking. Depending on the state you live in, you may have further rights under its law, such as the right to appeal our answer.
Children
MYOBLDR is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We use measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit between the app and our providers, and access controls that limit what is stored in our cloud to your own account. Data on your phone is protected by your phone's own security, such as its lock screen. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect.
